After the 6-inch snowfall the day before, I happened to be up early at 4am to drive my mother and her friend to the airport. After the drop off and a quick cat nap, I drove over to Lake Massabesic to get one last glimpse of the 5 planets and moon alignment. For about a month from Jan-Feb, 5 planets (Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter) would be aligned on the horizon and visible right before dawn. When I got there, a soft orange glow of the sun was appearing and Venus was beaming so bright. I played around with different angles for my shot and thought I would try getting some of the snow covered trees in the frame.
