Mallard in Merrimack River

I spotted this drake Mallard duck in the winter while I was exploring the Merrimack River. There were flocks of Mallards, Goldeneyes and a few Mergansers wintering here and I sat by the river's edge for some time watching them interact and search for food. This Mallard dunked himself in the water then flapped his wings to dry off.
