For the Harvest Moon of September I headed over to one of my favorite local spots, Lake Massabesic. I wanted to capture the moon rising with the sailboats in the foreground. The spot I stopped to set up happened to have a great blue heron fishing for dinner, a few ducks wading near shore and a loon in the distance. I felt right at home! Even with the resting sailboats rocking back and forth in the water, I was able to position the moon within the masts as it was rising. © Christie Wrazen 2016, Auburn NH, Tripod-mounted.
